GENERAL BOARD MEMBER EXPECTATIONS
· Attend Board Meetings
· 2-4 times/year and meetings last approximately 1.5-2 hours.
· Bi-annual meetings occur in March and September

· Bi-annual meetings occur in March and September and Board members must attend unless there are extenuating circumstances.
· Familiarization with By laws and covenants.
· Awareness of KPHA Members Only Chat Room postings.
Per KPHA bylaws, officers are:
OPEN President - presides over board and community meetings. Acts as liaison between committees and must be able and willing to regularly communicates with all officers. Contracts for services that maintain and improve all “green spaces”* (landscaping, holiday decorations, etc) Board members should approve larger expenses based on yearly budget; no one officer should approve expenses >$100. Currently, one signature (Treasurer) is needed on KPHA’s corporate bank account. Expected time commitment/year 40 hours
Vice President - presides over a meeting and conducts business when the President can not. Is head of Architecture Committee (see Bylaws) Expected time commitment/year 40 hours
OPEN Secretary - prepares meeting Agenda, takes notes, posts notices, sends letters to residents as needed, processes incoming email. (Violations, newsletters, announcements) Acts a chair for communications (social events, social media, etc.) Expected time commitment/year 20 hours
OPEN Treasurer / Bookkeeper - maintains finances; responsible for bill-paying duties and coordinated debit/credit and bank transactions. Responds to Mortgage requests, monitor unpaid dues. Provides electronic expense report and upon-request audits. Prepares expense report for annual meetings. Receives and tracks annual member dues. Expected time commitment/year 40 hours year
Other OPEN Positions on this board may include but are not limited Expected time commitment/year 5-15 hours:
· Social Media - administrate/moderate
· Website - build and manage
· Green Space - future projects to improve shared spaces
· Community events - KP meetings, food trucks, joint HOA events
· Bylaws and Covenant - amendments/changes

Annual HOA Dues must be paid by February 15, and covers a calendar year.
Annual HOA Dues are set at $100.00/year.
If not paid by March 20, there will be a $15 late fee assessed.
